The third edition of South Summit Brazil, one of the biggest events for the innovation and business ecosystem in Latin America, kicked off in full swing this Wednesday in Porto Alegre (RS). With a lot of public movement, Cais Mauá became an immense hub for connections between startups, investment funds and corporations, as well as a lot of content and knowledge exchange.
One of the first attractions to appear on the main stage of South Summit Brasil, the Arena Stage, was Cris Arcangeli. In the early hours of the morning, the serial entrepreneur and founder of companies such as Phytoervas, Phyta, PH – Arcangeli, Éh Cosméticos and Beauty’in, spoke about the topic of futurism.
“If we can anticipate what will happen in 10 years, we will become billionaires. So the way is to study the scenario of your market, and start to project possible scenarios. We went through a gigantic crisis recently, which generated transformations in our way of thinking and do things. The world is changing rapidly. That’s what futurism is, it’s trying to understand what is happening and what people want, especially in relation to the collective unconscious. The entire planet is thinking more or less the same thing, and that’s what we need to capture”, said Cris Arcangeli.
Cris took the stage shortly after the official opening of South Summit Brazil. The ceremony was attended by the event’s main leaders, as well as public authorities from the three government spheres, and sponsors. The guests spoke on the event’s main stage, the Arena Stage, to an audience made up of startups, corporations, investors and the general public.
The welcome was given by José Renato Hopf, president of South Summit Brazil, and MarÃa Benjumea, founder of South Summit in Spain in 2012. “We are very happy with this first day of South Summit Brazil with a full house, and alongside our partners. I hope you all have an excellent experience, with lots of content, closed deals and also a lot of fun. We invested a lot to have an even bigger and better structure this year to welcome the public. It is here at Cais Mauá that The city of Porto Alegre began, and this is where it is renewing itself”, said Hopf at the opening of South Summit Brazil.
“I would like to thank the presence of all public entities and international investors, startups and corporations who are here with us, at this wonderful event on the banks of the GuaÃba. We hope that everyone makes valuable connections during this meeting”, said MarÃa Benjumea. In addition to the main leaders of South Summit Brazil, the opening of the event was attended by entities from the three government spheres and sponsors.
